To commemorate The Great War Kando Arts have designed an exciting shadow theatre workshop program. An interactive journey to WW1. Participants are transported back in time to explore life in the trenches, work in a munitions factory and nursing in a military hospital. Students experience standing in a recruitment line, marching to a cheering crowd, waving goodbye to a loved one at the station.

This dynamic art form is a fun creative learning tool. Stunning images, popular songs of the day and sound effects are used to evoke this turbulent period.

As a special memento you can also avail of our ‘Film of the Day’. We will video all the action and edit the footage to produce a short film for the school.
